Job Description: Project Director

General Summary

BLH seeks a Project Director with more than 15 years of experience in the human services arena, with expertise in and knowledge of the Healthy Marriage and Responsible Fatherhood (HMRF) program. This includes possessing strong knowledge of the authorizing legislation, program design, and implementation strategies.

The new hire will work at our office in Rockville, Maryland, providing a range of senior-level management, practitioner knowledge, and expertise in support of a Federal contract with the Office of Family Assistance (OFA) to support the HMRF program.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

This position will be expected to work with diverse stakeholders in the HMRF policy arena and provide support across multiple tasks that include:

  • Efficient and effective project management for the delivery and evaluation of training and technical assistance (TTA) to HMRF grantees.
  • Overseeing logistical support and content development for biennial HMRF conferences, regional roundtables, TTA visits, multi-site exchanges, and webinars.
  • Leading development of relevant written products and materials, including coordinating information dissemination.
  • Managing virtual training and social media components.
  • Developing and maintaining an HMRF website designed to inform and support HMRF grantees, the HMRF fields, and the public.

Desired Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master's degree in Public Policy or Social Sciences is required. A Ph.D. is preferred.
  • A minimum 15 years of relevant technical experience in the human services/social services sector, specifically supporting the HMRF program.
  • Extensive knowledge of adult learning theories and social sciences theory, principals, and methods.
